What Do Latter-day Saints Really Believe?

I talk a lot about what people believe about the Mormon church … the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in-between. But, what do Mormons really believe? This video does a great job of answering this question. It’s way better than anything I could try to say.

If you’ve ever walked, ridden, or driven by a Mormon chapel, you may have noticed the big sign on every building saying “Visitors Welcome.” It’s true. You’re welcome to stop in and pay us a visit … no matter how you’re dressed, look, view the world or even smell! We don’t care. We welcome you to stop by and get to know us.

It’s kind’a funny, actually: I have a good (non-LDS) friend who’s wife told him recently, “You know. You can’t enter a Mormon church unless you’re Mormon.” I guess she’d never noticed the sign. While you do need a special recommend to enter one of the big Mormon temples you see all over the world (see pictures below), except for during the short public Open Houses prior to a new or remodeled temple being dedicated for service—all chapels, branches, and seminary/institute/church school buildings are open to all. This video does a good job of explaining just how welcome you are.

Please … stop by and visit us anytime. You’re always welcome!

I hope to see you,
